2025 End of Year President’s Letter

Good Day to all of my Flyer Shooting Enthusiasts!

2025 has been a very productive season for our shooters, as well as PAFA making solid connections in Harrisburg. We had a full schedule of PAFA Shoots, with this season bumping up to 32 days of scheduled shoots. We also welcomed Wing Pointe back to the rotation and Erdman’s Sportsmen Association will now feature 2 permanent rings. I look forward to an action-packed season. Bird supply has been strong (for the moment) and our shoot promoters are ready and willing to make an enjoyable season.

There has been a changing of the guard in Harrisburg for us. Lobbyist John Kline is moving on to retirement. We surely will miss John. He was our eyes and ears in Harrisburg and helped us to get attendance for our mixers, field days, and overall connections. We bid John farewell with a party in Harrisburg in October and were honored to present him with a sheet cake and a semi-auto shotgun.

I am happy to announce we have replaced John with Barry Jozwiak as our new Lobbyist. Barry has been a longtime friend of PAFA. Barry has also held positions as a state Representative & Sherriff. We couldn't be happier with Barry as our choice. To see him work a room is remarkable. Barry has many friends, both in Harrisburg & across the state, and we look forward to working with him. Recently, the BOD decided to engage with a new accounting firm, both to assist in our growing charitable filings, but also to take some of the burden from our long time heart and soul Amy. We look forward to a more streamlined process and more good work to be done.

I am happy to report that PA shooters and our surrounding brothers to all points of the compass are once again becoming a force across the nation, as well as the world. Multiple big wins were achieved this past season in some notable top shoots, with just as many top 3’s secured as well. I believe this is a direct result of ample opportunities to shoot, as well as some pretty stout flyers. We look forward to reporting continued success in the 2026 season.

In closing, I look forward to the coming season and many more PAFA projects like Couples Night, mixers for our friends across the state, wounded veterans outings, and other events that we have done in the past year.

We are stronger and smarter than ever with all the knowledge that our predecessors have given us and with our memberships' continued support we will be keeping the lights on for a long, long time.

Pete Streletz PAFA President
